Terms of Service

Last updated: May 16, 2026

This document is a placeholder for Vorthly's alpha and beta period. It provides basic legal visibility and will be replaced after proper legal review before paid launch or broader scaling.

Acceptance of terms

By using Vorthly, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

Description of service

Vorthly is a trading journal and analytics platform. It provides tools for recording trades, reviewing performance, syncing broker data, and generating AI-assisted reflections.

We provide tools, not financial advice. AI-generated insights are informational observations about your journal and trading history, not recommendations to trade.

IMPORTANT: Not financial advice

  • Vorthly is a journaling and analytics tool.
  • We do not provide trading recommendations, investment advice, or trading signals.
  • AI insights are educational pattern observations, not predictions.
  • You are solely responsible for all trading decisions.
  • Trading carries significant risk of loss.
  • Past performance does not indicate future results.
  • We strongly recommend consulting qualified financial advisors before making financial decisions.

Account responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Vorthly.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information.
  • You may create and use one account per person unless we approve otherwise.

Acceptable use

  • Do not reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to extract source code from the service.
  • Do not scrape or use automated access except through an API we explicitly provide.
  • Do not share your account with others.
  • Do not use Vorthly for illegal activities.
  • Do not upload malicious content, malware, or content that disrupts the service.

Broker integration

You connect your own broker accounts at your own risk. We strongly recommend investor-password or read-only access where available.

Vorthly does not execute trades on your behalf. You are responsible for your broker relationship, broker credentials, and any activity in your trading accounts.

Subscription and payments

Vorthly is currently in beta and offers free access during development. Future paid subscription tiers are planned, including a 7-day free trial at launch. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the applicable billing period.

Intellectual property

The Vorthly platform, code, design, brand, and product experience are Vorthly property. Your trading data remains your property.

You grant us a limited license to process your data only as necessary to provide and improve the service. AI-generated insights about your trades belong to you.

Data and privacy

Please review the Privacy Policy for details about how we collect, process, and protect data. You retain ownership of your trading data and can export or delete it anytime through your settings.

Disclaimers

  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties.
  • We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, availability, or trading outcomes.
  • AI insights may be wrong. They are pattern observations, not facts or trading instructions.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any trading losses. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amounts paid by you in the previous 12 months, or EUR 100, whichever is less, during the free beta period.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Vorthly against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account anytime via Settings -> Account. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, subject to backup retention described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms as Vorthly develops. Material changes will be notified by email where appropriate. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. EU consumers retain mandatory rights under their local laws. Disputes should first be addressed through direct resolution, then mediation where appropriate, and finally through the courts of Norway or, for EU consumers, the courts available in their home country.
